Beijing Massage Hospital

Beijing Massage Hospital, founded in 1958, is the birthplace of modern blind medical massage in China. As the first medical institution established by the central government after the founding of the People's Republic of China to promote employment for visually impaired individuals, it is affiliated with the China Disabled Persons' Federation. The hospital is a tertiary TCM hospital registered with the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a designated hospital for basic medical insurance in Beijing.

By fully leveraging the strengths of both sighted and blind practitioners, the hospital has established a “one diagnosis and multiple therapies” model, and created distinct specialized departments centered around traditional Chinese medical Tui Na, supplemented by acupuncture and moxibustion, rehabilitation, traditional Chinese medicine, etc. The hospital has consistently optimized its disease structure by concentrating on key disease types, resulting in a variety of dominant disease types.

TCM Nursing

Guided by a patient-centered approach, the hospital's nursing team has consistently prioritized the development of basic skills of clinical nursing techniques, emphasized teaching, improved quality, and promoted development. Additionally, a TCM nursing outpatient service has been established to promote patient health through TCM nursing techniques such as scraping, cupping, and governor vessel moxibustion. A series of measures for humanistic nursing care have been implemented to enhance the warmth and depth of care, create a comfortable and warm environment for patients, and actively promote TCM nursing culture.

The hospital was designated as a tertiary Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital by the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
2023
The Chaoyang Campus was officially opened, marking the beginning of a new phase of large-scale, high-quality development under the "one hospital, two locations" model.
2021
The hospitals "TCM Tui Na Manipulation Therapy" was included in Beijings fifth batch of Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Projects under the "Traditional Medicine" category.
2013
The hospital was designated a Grade II Class A Traditional Chinese Medicine Specialty Hospital by the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
2001
The hospital was designated as a contracted provider under Beijings Basic Medical Insurance Program.
1997
The hospital was registered with the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a Upper-Second Specialized Hospital.
